  • KOAN LAUNCHES PARIS OFFICE AND STRENGTHENS BRUSSELS – PARIS SYNERGY
Nathalie Charpentier Mavrinac.

The Belgian business law firm, KOAN, a leading law firm in media and automotive sectors is pleased to announce the launch of their Paris office.

KOAN’s team in the Paris office will assist the firm’s French and foreign clients with all their legal challenges in France. Koan Paris deals with issues relating to commercial law, distribution law and banking law, and this in litigation as well as in non-contentious matters.

“The inauguration of the Paris office reflects not only a rising demand among our French and Belgian clients, but also confirms our commitment to expanding our activities in the Brussels-Paris axis, a key focus of our strategic growth process since our establishment in 2004,” said Jean-Paul Hordies, partner in the firm.

KOAN will continue to assist its French clients also on EU and competition law issues. KOAN has a long standing and strong track record in these two fields (state aid, regulatory, litigation before EU courts, etc.) and provides proactive advice to a wide client base with respect to implementing EU regulations.

Koan is equally developing an international strategy encompassing aspects of both EU and French law in other domains such as labour law (headed by Robert De Baerdemaeker, former Head of the Brussels Bar), media law, intellectual property, tax and corporate law.

The associates of the Paris team will report to Nathalie Charpentier Mavrinac, French partner and a member of the Paris and Brussels Bars. The Paris team will work in close collaboration with the teams in Brussels, which comprise several French and Belgian lawyers with degrees from French universities.
